About Dawat
Dawat is the Urdu word for invitation. We help people invite others beautifully.
Why we built Dawat
In Pakistan, a wedding card often means a trip to a printer, days of back and forth over spelling, and a design that is hard to change once it is printed. Urdu names are the hardest part, because most online tools do not set Nastaliq properly.
Dawat puts the design in your hands. You choose a design, type the names, see the result instantly, and download a file your printer can use. If a name changes, you change it and download again.
What we believe
- Urdu deserves real typography. Not a fallback font, but proper Nastaliq lettering.
- Preview should be free. You should see your own names on the card before you pay.
- Payment should be accessible. Not everyone has a credit card, so we take Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast and bank transfer.
- Respect for occasions. Nikah, Walima, Aqiqah and Milad cards are not generic party templates, and ours are written and drawn for them.
Our designs
All Dawat designs are drawn by us. The fonts we use are open source and licensed for commercial use. See our terms for how you may use the files you download.
